We, members and/or friends of the Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC) and/or of the Episcopal Church (TEC), launch this petition to our respective Churches, urging them to engage in theological discussion, in order to contemplate a full communion agreement, based on the Chicago-Lambeth Quadrilateral.

Signing this petition as a friend of both the Roman and the Anglican Catholic Churches. The MCC has kept many marginalized sisters and brothers close to Jesus; it is important for traditional apostolic and sacramental churches to open their hearts.
Uniting is one more step towards towards humanity being whole.
Being trained at The Episcopal Divinity School for ordination in MCC I see this as natural
This would be one more opportunity for recognizing who our neighbors are so that we might learn to "Love one another as Christ Jesus has loved us"
Please let's move towards full communion!
I believe that we should always be willing to engage in serious theological dialogue with anyone who is willing to engage in such dialogue with us.
Although i disagree on trying to say they are an "Historic Episcopate, locally adapted" the biggist problem is that they no not strictly follow apostalic succustion. That is something that can change and hopfuly will. the real reason i am signing though is to help start diologe. have offical talks would elavate their status and show that LGBT+ people are equal in the eyes of the Episcopal Church. even if nothing formal happens between the churches it will bring us closer and encourage cooperation.

As former National Ecumenical Officer for Metropolitan Community Churches, I would love to see an official dialogue and full communion agreement between MCC and the Episcopal Church. Our denominations have much in common. Members of the Episcopal Church (especially Integrity leaders and Bishop John Spong) have been allies in MCC’s efforts for full inclusion of LGBTQ people at the National Council of Churches, World Council of Churches and among all followers of Christ.
