FTM Surgeon Warning. Sunshine State not so sunny.

Hey, Anthony!Thank you for sharing that! I was looking into Dan Greenwald, however I don't feel There are enough resources available to see/hear things about other trans men who went to him to help for their transition. I'm very much interested in wanting to know more, so I don't make a blind decision; especially since I was considering Garramone. So if you can, I would like to speak more about your surgery/experience with him, and if you've seen any/know of any pictures for before and after on his top surgery procedures. I don't know if it's possible to discuss such here, or if you have a different from of contact, but any way will suffice. Thank you again!

More dudes should come forward with telling bad experience in any facet with any surgeon really. It helps us not believe in fairy tales. Me personally, I don't follow the clan of clones. I went to a different surgeon when I started hearing stories on his attitude a couple of yrs ago. -PEACE

it as my pleasure! I did this for my friend who is like family to me! he and his g.f. are amazing people!<3 them so much! overall I did this because I support all trans men in their journey. it just saddens me of all the stories I hear that things don't go well for all men. love u all!!!! :)

It is truly ridiculous that this petition has to even be created. When we fight EVERY SINGLE DAY to be exactly who we WANT to be and who we are. We put our trust into our surgeons to give us exactly what we NEED. I'm not just like every other guy out there. I would hope that my surgeon would treat me like an individual instead of a PAYCHECK! And I would like to know that I'm taken care of if there is an issue. Paying thousands of dollars, fighting for every penny of that and then being told I have to pay more if it isn't done properly?! IT'S RIDICULOUS! I want to look in the mirror and be exactly who I am meant to be..... not yet again someone I can't stand because my surgery was botched. I will sign this in hopes that the community is listening. STOP giving your money to someone who doesn't respect you. STOP giving your money to someone that won't remember your name once you sign the check. STOP giving the power to continue hurting our brothers that are just trying to be whole! TAKE THE POWER BACK!

Where to begin? Between his costs rising, his staff changing and lack of friendliness, his disbelief attitude and unwillingness to discuss or even perform some revisions, to him creating a "flag list" of those he won't operate on, to his office accidentally faxing my friends information over to another patients employer (Ouch) with his name and social all over it for strangers to see, to him copywrighting the term "FTM Top Surgery" which has been used for years and clearly one big way for any surgeon to market, it just looks like he is all about the money and those are just a few reasons as to why I will not use his services. Service is what you aren't getting. I'm sick to my stomach hearing from all of those who had a horrible experience and reading others reasons as to why they won't choose him to operate on them. I heard the Dr. brought my name up by a guy having his post op consult (The gentleman now seeking a revision) sounds like a HIPPA violation to me. My name shouldn't be used in his office at all. His lack of care and ability to make everyone feel unique vs. guys on a conveyor belt has become progressively worse throughout the years. I am glad I have waited this long for chest reconstructive surgery and will continue to research Doctors until I can find one who can meet my standards. He has shown a lack of consistency for things he supports, displaying an off/on relationship that many have taken notice of recently. I use to think he was the ONLY surgeon. I am thankful that so many have emailed me, shared videos on their You Tube channels, posted on Twitter, Tumblr and contacted me out of the random blue with their experiences. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and many more will be shared everywhere. Good luck to those who are trying to find a good surgeon. Go with someone who has malpractice insurance and READ all of your paperwork prior to putting a deposit down is my advice. Be blessed.

Clearly this doctor has lost sight of what is important.....HIS PATIENTS CARE!!!! His ego has become sooo huge he cant see anything past it...well except for maybe dollar signs,that seems to be all he is about.The transgender community looks up to this guy as being a guru,an expert in his field,but somewhere along the way he has become jaded,he has developed such a GOD complex that he is refusing patients who arent satisfied revisions without charging them and in some cases just flat out refuses to do it at all. I did alot of research into this surgeon who has copyrighted the phrase "FTM Top Surgery" and the things I found out are apalling,dont forget this is the guy that claims to just want to "help" the community and be so passionate about it,well if thats the case why in the world would a patient be referred to with the wrong pronouns,how demeaning to that patient. Any college educated surgeon knows what slander is,for this guy to set out to single handedly slander a legitimate business along with one person who is more involved,and has done more for the community than he ever will,is unprofessional and speaks volumes about his character. I want my loved one to use a surgeon who sees him as an individual,not as a dollar sign. In closing let me just ask this,what happened to the doctors creed that he was sworn to when this surgeon became a doctor,what happened to "First do no harm."? It seems that this doctor has decided that this no longer applies to him.He seems to have replaced the love of being a doctor,the love of caring for people,the love of making someone happy in their own skin,The love of his patients for the love of himself and money,and that truly saddens me.
