The owners and residents of The Carlton Tower Condominium community located in the Sunrise Lane Area of the Central Beach Districts of City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida continue to experience unacceptable noise levels from the bars /clubs in the neighborhood, including the Sandbar and occasionally McSorley’s and the B Ocean hotel. There are repeated complaints logged with Fort Lauderdale police about excessive noise activity between the hours of approximately 10:00 pm and 3:00 am. In light of The City of Fort Lauderdale Code of Ordinances, Chapter 17 – Noise Control which limits sound levels in residential and mixed use areas, and requires loud music to be played in sound proofed rooms, we demand that the above businesses adhere to this ordinance immediately. Furthermore, we require that the owners of these properties and the City of Fort Lauderdale Police and Planning and Zoning Board act immediately to enforce the noise ordinance.
