Whereas, on September 19, 2009 the Florida State Department of Education drastically raised the fees on FTCE Teacher Certification exam testing to unreasonable levels. Whereas, we the undersigned believe that low costing teacher certification exams are important to insure a diversified pool of certified teachers for the future from different economic backgrounds. Resolved, we the undersigned petition the Legislature of the State of Florida to take immediate action to "allocate funds" or to "allow private funds" to subsidize FTCE exams for teacher applicants.
