Helipad will be too disruptive to the peace and tranquillity MABA provides. Please recommend to the County Council a DENIAL of the CUP21-15 application. Thank you.

Just because it can be done, does not mean it should be done. This type of activity would have immediate and long-term impacts on the solitude and privacy of neighboring communities.

Some consideration needs to be made to those who have been in Augusta for a long time. Many, and especially MABA, chose this area because of the peaceful quiet environment. Seems like it would be in everyone's best interest, including the developers, if residents and visitors equate Augusta with a peaceful, quiet getaway.

A helicopter pad would disruptive to the prayers and services of the adjoining monastery. It is excessive and unnecessary. Please deny the application because of its deleterious effect on the nearby properties.

Meditation is an essential part of our practice. The noise from a helipad would be disruptive to the meditative environment.

The noise and pollution from the helipad would be detrimental to the activities of MABA. Not only would the noise disturb activities, but MABA maintains their grounds for walking meditation and social activities. The dust and debris generated by the rotor blades upon take-off and landing could cause physical harm to the people as well as incur increased property maintenance costs for MABA. Think about debris hitting a little child's face and causing eye injury. I've been around Army helicopters for over 15 years and have seen what happens with the rotor blades on take-off and landing.

Please recommend to the County Council a DENIAL of the CUP21-15 application. Thank you. Many people visit MABA Monastery because of the serenity. A tranquil refuge from the outside world. The noise from helicopters would be injurious to all in the Augusta area.

We need the environment to offer peace, not more noise pollution.

The Washington airport is a perfect place for a helicopter to land. It is surrounded by flat open farmland in the Missouri River basin. Very safe. Very close to Augusta by air and land transport via Highway 94. No need to disrupt the peace in tiny Augusta. Keep Augusta small, quaint and quiet. Thank you!

Is an activity that would interfere with the peaceful characteristics of the area.

For three decades MABA has provided a spiritual retreat and training and teaching in Buddhism and Buddhist meditation, and the noise of helicopters coming and going nearby would do great harm to MABA and its community.

We ask your kind consideration to have the helipad placed elsewhere on the many acres acquired by this family in the interest of preserving this historic monastery and even more so, the ancient peaceful practice of teaching people the benefit of cultivating and sustaining meditation practice.

The proposal for a helipad is so out of tune with the nature and the ambiance of this beautiful and peaceful area.
