Gettysvue High-Rise, High-Density Condo Development Protest

I strongly oppose the high rising condo in our subdivision due to congestion and safety concerns.

The impact on the course, tennis courts, and club house will greatly lessen my enjoyment. It is not what was promised when I joined.

If you wanted high rise Condos this should have been done waaay before these homeowners built their homes here.

I do not want condos in the neighborhood

I'm a Knoxville native & just moved to The Villas from my condo in Daytona Beach, FL. This neighborhood is and has been a beautiful area in which to live. I just bought in here at the end of Sept. I'm flabbergasted that Mr. Watkins can think this is an improvement to our Neighborhood. The only thing it will improve is his & his investors "pockets." Please understand the severity of neighborhood traffic if this development passes on it's 2nd attempt. I bought in here because I've passed by here all my life and wanted this very spot, when I came back to K'ville.

As a tennis family, we strongly object to the obvious destruction of tennis at the club. It is already being largely neglected. Instead, we should go the opposite direction: cut trees to make tennis visible and construction of a simple path to the courts from the clubhouse with a deck overlooking them. Tennis could be great here. A few townhouses nearby would be fine... but what they propose is abusive.

The structures will hinder views, add too much traffic to roads and stress the atmosphere at the club and pools.

This will create significant traffic through Gettysvue.

I am 100% against the proposed high density high rise condo. I support the OPPOSITION.

I oppose the high density, high rise condos in the Gettysvue community.

I strongly object to TIS development. It in no way is consistent with the original design and as currently proposed will cause significant impairment to the club, its members and home owners in the development.

We are adamantly opposed to the development of high rise condominiums in the Gettysvue subdivision. Building such high density structures will create many negative issues for the Gettysvue community including safety issues for residents due to increased vehicular traffic where there are no sidewalks for pedestrians.
