Ours has only been used because the nighbor was po'd that we had a visitor and claimed they "own" that part of the street. Last time I knew I paid property taxes also. I didn't know we "owned" the street in front of our homes. General couresy is to move your vehicles to your driveway and not make the plow go around and make a "bigger" pile in front of your house... Courtesy is long gone it seems. It doesn't matter who has to work or go to school 1st. Get up and do your part to make things work. Hence the reason why we need these stupid rules. It's what you have a driveway for. As for the SE side they need some kind of "incentive" to move their vehicles as it makes it unbearable to others that have to use that side of town for driving. They also need to get up on their snow shoveling as it is a concern and so is the ice that forms... The city needs to address the areas that are the problem. Not pick on everybody. It's the easy way out. On my street this last time a car sat on the street till Sunday afternoon with no ticket and sitting in a bunch of snow. I thought that they were to be turned in for that by the snowplow people... Hmmm. I guess mayor needs to think of a better solution that adrresses who it applies to instead of making everyone suffer;) After all it's their job to be "fair" now isn't it.

I agree we need seasonal restrictions but would be nice if they were only enforced when it actually snows.

I’m in agreement to only choose alternate parking when it snows, or any more flexible alternatives.

51St St NW--people don't move their cars on our street never get ticketed...move to a snow emergency route or something..but October to May is ridiculous

I support the petition to loosen the restrictions for onsite parking during winter months.

There is absolutely no reason for this back and forth parking restriction. We should, instead, be issuing snow emergency parking restrictions. With this past snowfall, a car was still on the street and the plow had to go around the parked car. The current ordinance serves no purpose.

This weekend, my wife fell while outside moving the cars around, and the only reason she was even outside was because of this ill-informed and poorly executed ordinance and our "neighbors" who love to call the police on us and our other neighbors.
