I'm a Virginia Tech sophomore and I definitely think having an in person seminar at orientation would be awesome. I'm guilty of simply muting the videos and clicking through.

I am a Virginia Tech graduate, but In my time as a student, I do not remember their being such a serious problem with sexual assault. Anything to help to Tech change its culture positively.

The school I transferred from had a woman come and speak about her experiences with sexual assault in college. I think something like this would work better than a lecture-type event as it was more personal, and more of a discussion than an seminar.

Maybe it's pretty parents who should teach their kids not to commit crimes. It just doesn't seem like the job of higher education to teach basic human responsibilities.

VT must combat violence against women (and men) in a strong way!! ZERO TOLERANCE - An online lesson for incoming freshman is NOT enough.

Sexual Assault education should not only be part of freshman orientation but a regular part of campus affairs with progressive education as students advance in their degree as there are multiple forms of gender based violence.
