Dear Mr. Wilson:

The residents of Middleton and surrounding area are concerned with the frequent closures of the Emergency Department at Soliders' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. 

We are requesting that the hourly rate of pay for non-regional hospitals be adjusted to match the rates being paid at regional hospitals. This discrepancy in pay has resulted in Physicians declining to travel from Kentville or Halifax to work in the Emergency Department at Solider's Memorial Hospital. 

The unpredictable nature of this problem is a serious public safety concern. We respectfully request that immediate action be taken toward a solution.
