Restore the Fremont Homeschool Participation Policy

Let the kids play sports! They are still Fremont family whether they go to public school or not!

all children should be able to participate in ANY high school sport. we only get 4 years. you shouldn’t stop those kids just because they do a different type of schooling for half the day!

The decision to make the requirement 2 classes instead of one shows an attitude of wanting to keep people out instead of being an inclusive and inviting atmosphere to the community. I'm not quite sure what the driving force behind this decision was but it seems remarkably petty and for little, if no, reason at all.

Laura and Eric are godly people who believe home school is the way to raise their children & I agree. These children should be able to participate in sports as other children do in the public schools

An athlete can be eligible according to the State of Indiana by taking three academic blocks per day, or 4.5 hours of school. Under Fremont's policy, a homeschool student is required to take (and prove they are completing) 7.0 hours of schooling per day.
