I honestly cannot believe I am typing this but the talks are actually happening and the path to freedom is finally open. It feels surreal after all this time and all those coffee fueled nights staring at the screen and just hoping anyone would care about Tibet. We have to …
Dear Mr. President Obama,
We the signers of this petition are calling for the freedom and liberation of Tibet and its people. We are asking you to please meet with the Chinese Government and The Dalai Lama to discuss the terms of Tibet's freedom.
Sincerely,
The Signers Of This Petition
I was looking at some maps earlier and thinking about how geography really complicates these international conversations but it does not change the core of why we are doing this. Getting the attention of the White House is not easy and I have been busy drafting letters all week just hoping someone in the press office actually reads them despite the inevitable pile of junk mail they must deal with.

I honestly cannot believe how far this has traveled since I first hit publish because I really thought it would just be me and a few friends staring at a blank screen. It is just wild to see people from everywhere finally paying attention to what is happening and honestly it makes me feel like maybe things can actually change if we keep at it like this.
