Mr. Thorson is an amazing teacher, and I'm truly grateful to have had him teach my speech class. I do not believe that his actions require such extreme punishment as this, and I strongly support his returning to Mayo so that he can continue sharing his teaching gifts with students.

Mr. Thorson made speech class fun and hilarious. From how I remember him as a teacher, this comment was likely intended to be humorous, while perhaps not considered appropriate for school, whoever reported him should have told him this was offensive before reporting him.

Mr. Thorson was the best teacher I have EVER had in my life! I do believe that he should be punished for his actions but not to the extent of job loss and suspension. There are teachers who are not even half the teacher he is and do A lot worse and keep there jobs

Jon my was my speech teacher 5 years ago. He was an awesome teacher. His behavior in this circumstance is understandable and should not be punished so severely.

Thorson is an absolute amazing teacher . He made Speech so much fun and exciting. I can honestly not thank him enough for how much of a difference he has made in my life. I think the world of him as a teacher and he didn't deserve this to happen. I hope we can continue to fight for an outstanding person like him.
