As a recent alum, I am proud of all of the students who are standing up for Thorson. He was the one teacher I wish I could've had at Mayo. I was always jealous of the people who had him for speech or english. I believe future spartans are missing out on a wonderful opportunity to be taught by such a respected and caring man. I hope we will continue to stand up for our amazing teachers, like Mr. Thorson.

I can honestly say he was one of the best teachers Mayo has. He was one of the few that made class enjoyable and interesting.

As a parent of 3 children at Mayo HS, there is no other teacher I would love to have my children attend class with. He has been a tremendous, kind, caring teacher for my 3. Sending my support for Jon.

Gave me confidence in public speaking and have never been scared to do a speech since. Greatest teacher at Mayo High School. He made class fun, and educational at the same time, it was one of the few classes in high school that I actually enjoyed going to.
