Dear Kind Petitoner,
Take one moment, listen, feel, analyze, that new feeling in the air, all around you. Slowly picking up in intensity until you can feel it in your very bones. That is the moment, the movement of the great lava lamp, headed by us (Dale Barlet, Fred Mason, and John Aitkens). This movement started out like any other... with oppression.
It was a fateful day, the day after college move in, when Dale pulled out his prized lava lamp. A thing of beauty it stood at 16.3 inches tall, with red bubble complemented perfectly by a sensual, smooth blue background. Up until this point all had gone well, we were all so happy, basking in its glory, watching the bubbles rise and drop like our hopes and dreams, giving us hope to continue with the future like a dropping bubble hopes for the heat of the lamp.
Then it happened. Our CA told us the horrible truth that the lamp was seen as a potential fire hazard by the school and must be turned off, we must change this.
Together, with your support we can reverse this tragedy, maybe even make light of it. We hope to reverse this interpretation of the lava lamp all while easing said lamps pain of loneliness.
