A plea to the Governor of California, Jerry Brown,to Grant Sara Kruzan a pardon, releasing her with time served.
Growing up with a drug addicted mother in California, Sarah Kruzan had the classic nightmarish childhood: abuse, rape, neglect — the usual suspects. Unsurprisingly, she sought trust in a man 'GG' who claimed to have her best interests in mind, He told her that she was “so special” that she should never give away sex for free, then groomed her for 2 years to be a prostitute and then raped her.
At 13, she became a human trafficking victim, and worked from 6pm-6am to make money for her father figure turned pimp, until one day she snapped and killed him at the age of 16 years old freeing her from the life of sexual slavery she had endured.
However with such found freedom the judge subsequently threw the book at her like she had been around long enough to read it sentencing her to Life without the possibility of parole + 4 years.
With mounting pressure, support and campaigns Governor Schwarzenegger granted Sara clemency, which deduced her sentence to 25 to life with the possibility of parole in around 10 years.
However, Sara, now 32 has already served over 15 years for a crime which should never have merited any prison sentence at all due to the terrible circumstances under which it was committed.
Therefore this is my plea to obtain the highest number of signatures and support in
order to get the state of California to FREE SARA KRUZAN.
