The news has arrived and Sanjay Dutt is finally being granted the relief we were all hoping for. This outcome belongs entirely to you because your belief in fairness turned this simple request into a movement that could not be ignored. I am honestly overwhelmed by how this turned out …
(This petition will be sent to The President- Smt Pratibha Patil, once we receive a good number of signatures. Please try to get as many people as you can to sign on. Thank You.)
Sanjay Dutt does not deserve to be imprisoned.
He was cleared of the charges of terrorism and conspiracy, however, was convicted for receiving and storing an AK-56 assault rifle and a 9mm pistol from the underworld kingpins, which we know he did under pressure and severe threats.
Judge Pramod Kode himself said \"The crime was not brutal, cruel, ghastly, inhuman, not anti-social, not immoral and did not result in any harm to anyone.\"
If illegal possesion of a weapon is the only offence, then spending more than 18 months in Arthur Road Jail in 1993 and living with a hanging sword over his neck for 14 years of his life should be considered as his served punishment.
\'SANJAY DUTT NOW DESERVES FREEDOM\' IS WHAT THE UNDERSIGNED REQUEST FOR.
I am honestly overwhelmed by the momentum this has gained lately. This movement belongs entirely to the people who took a moment to show their compassion and I never imagined it would reach so many hearts.
