This past week has seen an unfortunate series of events occur between a well known, much loved (sometimes criticized) but very much a staple of our Toronto baseball culture and his employer. From all accounts available at this time we have learned that Mike Wilner was suspended from his regular broadcasting duties due to comments made about Jays manager Cito Gaston. This isn't a Mike vs. Cito issue, this is a matter of Mike not being allowed to ask the questions we all want answers to. Freedom of the press? Apparently not when you work for Rogers.
Mike is the only one who actually asks the tough questions. Rogers is just protecting their own image instead of letting a reporter do his job. Bring him back!
