I have just watched the channel 5 documentary on the Killing of the poor girlfriend of Luke Mitchel, Jodie Jones. It made me so angry how the Police still put statements out that they carried out extensive forensic investigations and they have not done there job Properly. After all the findings on the programme I fill believe a miscarriage of the Scottish legal system. FREE LUKE MITCHELL and if there is anything we could do to help his poor Mother I would like to help her she is suffering enough in the place she lives no water toilet etc it looks freezing in there and she is suffering poor health. Disgusting how the vandalism of her business and she had to see her own family home. Those people who done that are scum.

I cannot understand why this man has been so persecuted! Its inhumane ,there is no evidence to suggest he was involved in any way -it seems that the police took the easy way out and closed their eyes to evidence at the scene. Even now they cannot admit and wont admit they are wrong. Luke should be released NOW - HE MUST BE COMPENSATED WITH MILLIONS FOR ALL THE YEARS THAT HAVE BEEN TAKEN AWAY FROM HIM AND HIS MOTHER .THEY ARE INNOCENT ITS AS PLAIN AS THE NOSE ON MY FACE ! Why is this being ignored FREE HIM NOW!

watched a Documentary on channel 5 last night on Luke Michel, I followed the case in 2003, and was disturbed then On the out come of the case. There’s no evidence what’s so ever that Luke was present at the seen of the crime, the Police had DNA of two other males Of which was never questioned? . I believe there’s been a miscarriage of justice, the boy have spent 17 years behind bars for something me and lot more believe he as not done.

After seeing the documentary, it's clear this was a terrible miscarriage of justice, it's hard to believe he was convicted on such flimsy evidence

This was a wrongful conviction. Poorly investigated and judged. Justice must prevail.

From watching the documentary shown on my5 there's no way that luke Mitchell should have been convicted of this horrific crime without any evidence especially when there is other DNA evidence implicating other suspects which should be investigated

After having watched Murder In A Small Town, Scottish Parliament should be hanging its head in shame. Release Luke Mitchell immediately and pay compensation so that his poor mother can live out her days in some sort of comfort with her son. Do the right thing!

After watching the documentary I absolutely feel Like is innocent. That his mum is being treated appallingly. I pray a grave injustice will be corrected. And full compensation is awarded to both of them. I heart goes out to his mum and I hope her health improves. Surly she is entitled to a decent place to live ?
