I remember this being on the news and thinking he was guilty, however, everything that's getting brought to light now has opend my eyes to the lies the police and everyone else involved told. He was a young boy, at the very least he deserves a fair trial
From watching the documentary shown on my5 there's no way that luke Mitchell should have been convicted of this horrific crime without any evidence especially when there is other DNA evidence implicating other suspects which should be investigated
At no time did anyone consider how Luke must have felt when his girlfriend was killed. This is just another sign of extreme injustice and utter incompetence as well as laziness on the part of the law.
I've never been so appalled at the apparent failure of British justice. This boy should never have been convicted on such flimsy and non-existent evidence. The Channel 5 programme has deeply disturbed me.
It's quite clear from the Channel 5 programme that there has been a terrible miscarriage of justice - only the police chief remains perfectly satisfied they have the right man (boy).

Seen it on the media at the time and thought the lad was innocent after doing my own background checks I see Luke shouldn't be behind bars as there has been a killer been on our streets since then total disgrace of the Scottish justice system
