the commissioners are finally stepping down after all this pressure. i cant even explain how grateful i am that we stuck to this until the end. keep an eye on what happens next just to be sure they actually follow through.

We are a non-partisan collective of concerned citizens and business owners that are embittered with the politicians who have allowed parts of the Knox economy to be closed or arbitrarily limited without justification. The Knox Health Board has exceeded the scope of their authority in the subjective closure of businesses impacting bars, restaurants and music venues. We have come together to campaign for the removal or proffered resignations of the Knox County Commissioners Board as they have not protected our rights by removing the Board of Health for cause as described under Tenn. Code Ann. § 68-2-601 subsection D. The inaction of the Commissioners shows to us that they failed in their duty to protect our rights to free commerce. The Board of Health has arbitrarily set binding guidelines without peer reviewed data to support their decision, and we demand the commissioners step down for failing to serve the people. If you are a residient of Knox County, please sign this and pass it on!

We have duly elected officials that should be making decisions on behalf of the citizens of Knoxville. This board should be dissolved immediately.
Great to see push back against the health department politburo and calling the commissioners out for their lack of responsible oversight
Small business owner. Restaurant(s). Our business has been impacted due to mask wearing groups hunting down businesses that do not require masks & blasting them on social media. The maskers thing that everyone needs to conform to their way of thinking. That mask mandate is ridiculous as science has proved they don't work.
If the honorable County Commission will not take action to rein in the overreach from the unelected Board of Health, then those members should step down as they are not representing the wishes of the majority of the residents of Knoxville, either in City or County.
I went to the commissioners meeting tonight and they need to step down or be fired. They do not stand for the people of Knox county.
I live in the county, but the idiot of a Mayor in Knoxville has really surprised me as far as her in action in the rise of crime and the heartbreaking incidents at AE.

Im a 30 yr knoxville resident and UT grad. I work as a scientist in a viral lab for decades. The commissioners and health board are ignorant to the subject matter and mandate unconstitutional mandates. They should be removed for violation of oaths and dereliction of duty.
