This is important for our local community to have better access into the lovely City of Chichester

Make the changes necessary to free up a terrible traffic problem.

This should only be a small part of any plans to alleviate the traffic problem but it would be a great start

The Southern Gateway wont work without the removal of the level crossing. This is an imaginitive and practical scheme which will deliver the Vision for chichester

And about time too. It has been the most obvious and sensible solution, and it is lovely to see it properly proposed.

Chichester is in great need of an alternative to the current situation and traffic congestion due to railway crossings and Witterings traffic

I'm not sure why this defaulted to Fleet. I live in Birdham, Chichester.

Please lets sort these level crossings as so many people refuse to visit chichester due to the delays

This is an excellent alternative proposal which, among other benefits, replaces the economically and environmentally damaging level crossing with a bridge.

Great idea. So good to get rid of those crossing gates. I used to work at the high school for boys in kingsham road. Reported incidents came in regularly from members of the public who had witnessed students hanging on the gates or running across when the lights were red. We ended up getting a police community officer stationed at the crossing at the start and end of school day.

Brilliant scheme. A proper vision for the southern gateway to Chichester and an end to the long delays at the level crossings. Much safer too.

This proposal is very welcome as it addresses the main problem of a southern gateway into Chichester, namely two level crossings causing gridlock.
