We The People should have the freedom to say "yes" or "no" to the mask. It goes against our civil rights to force us to wear anything against our will.

Forced masking is torture and is not supported by science for preventing transmission of viruses. There is no science to prove that asymptomatic persons are able to transmit this virus. If there is science to the contrary please publish it for all to see and debate the merits of the study before mandating compliance.

For those who feel vulnerable, they can either stay at home or wear a mask. If masks work, their mask is sufficient to protect themselves.

I agree with Jaclyn: if someone is showing symptoms of any kind then they should wear a mask; the people who are not symptomatic shouldn't have to be forced to wear one. People are asymptomatic for five basic germs that they carry in their bodies at all times regardless, and doctors offices require sick people showing symptoms to wear a mask anyway so this fear of us breathing our own air and being afraid of looking at each other otherwise we're going to give each other covid is ridiculous. And on another note, why is it that people on the safest place from covid have to wear masks but then you have people from the mainland traveling here who violate the restrictions all the time? and why didn't they restrict travel from the mainland if they wanted to keep the island safer? It doesn't make any sense and once again money and greed just plays a role in whether or not people are being kept "safe." Hawaii could be self-sustainable in the financial hardships that the pandemic presents if travel restrictions were placed upon people coming from the mainland, not forcing people already living in a decently safe place from covid to wear masks against each other.

Yes please, please, PLEASE!!! Do away with these ridiculous mask mandates for gosh sakes! They are not only useless but in fact extremely detrimental to people. Enough of this nonsense!!! At LEAST it should be optional, if you feel better wearing one, by all means do so, but if you don't, one should not be forced to! Thank you

Masks do more harm than good!! People with symptoms can wear masks but people with no symptoms shouldn’t have to! The asymptomatic carrier myth has been debunked.
