Dear HOA Board- As community members of the River Rim HOA, we are interested in ensuring that our community enables the freedom of expression in an unbiased way that creates a welcoming community to a variety of neighbors (all shapes, colors, sizes, gender identity etc). The current enforcement (not rules- because the enforcement currently contradicts the rules) of an American flags and certain signs and flags only system is unacceptable to us and needs to be fairly reexamined to take into account the diverse set of opinions, values, and families in our community. There is a group of community members that all share these beliefs and we are happy to take part in shaping an updated freedom of expression policy for our neighborhood

I really thought this might just fizzle out but seeing so many neighbors jump on board is honestly surreal (and honestly it is about time we had this talk). I am still trying to process the level of engagement because it really shows we are not alone in wanting a change to how things work around here.

Rules should apply to everyone equally not just the ones the board likes. stop picking and choosing what flags are allowed.
Finally someone said it. Getting tired of the arbitrary enforcement around here. It just makes the neighborhood feel tense instead of welcoming.
