The Ugandan government is set to pass a bill that will allow homosexuality in Uganda to be punishable by death. They are calling it a "Christmas Gift" to the many extremists that are pushing for such a bill. This petition is meant to pressure the US government (locally and nationally) to stop stop this bill from passing. They should do so by halting all foreign aid to Uganda and getting the United Nations involved. The bill being proposed is basically condoning a form of genocide. We cannot stand by quietly and allow that to happen. By signing, you are standing in solidarity with those of us who believe that despite your religious affiliation, genocide is wrong.
