Punishing the victim is not the solution, shame on you Wilson and shame on the parents of this girl, it starts at home!! School should be a safe place where our kids can learn and thrive. Bullying should never be tolerated, it's so hard to believe that in the year 2017, we continue to somehow overlook bullies and punish victims - we need change, again it starts at home parents, talk to your kids, love your kids and make that change happen!!

A similar incident happened last year and the perp was reprimanded because an entire class heard her despicable rhetoric. That principle, who is no longer there, took swift action as there were many witnesses. Unfortunately she has gotten wise in her ways and only spews her ugly words when she knows no one can witness it. As stated as well, some students did come forward to the administration only to be dismissed as "not credible" or to just "deal with it" or "ignore it".

Why is this girl not in trouble for known bullying?

The administration needs to do better to protect ALL the children. There should be stiffer consequences for this bully.

Bullying should not be condoned in any form. I don't condone taking matters into his own hands, but the repeated bullying should be a mitigating factor and the bully punished as well

Thank you for standing up and supporting Carson. And Carson, I am very proud of you. While the punishment is unfair, just know that you took back the rest of your time in high school by standing up for yourself. You took back the power, good for you!!!

My child was bullied. The parents of bullies take no action (perhaps because they once did the same and continue to be bullies themselves). If our schools have NO control over the students who actually cause true harm then how can their victims learn and thrive safely?

This is very true. Ine pperson can only take so much. It isnt fair that a student should have to take that abuse where they are supposed to be gaining an education.

Nothing seems like it will ever change. This school was bad about bullying when I attended, and seems to only be getting worse. Keep your head up Carson, karma will get this bully someday.
