In the last few years, Wilson students have built an open-minded community: Accepting any and all who are different, and encouraging being oneself. While many students and teachers believe in the bright future Wilson has to offer, this ideology is not projected by the administrative rules here. A Wilson High School student has been wrongfully bullied for years because of his sexuality. Many have come forward with proof of the bully's violence; the administration countered by telling him to ignore it and that there was nothing they can do except try to talk it out. Unfortunately, having a chat with someone whose agenda is to cause pain and anguish is not going to solve a single thing. As many of you have heard, Carson (after finally having enough of the disgusting treatment given by another Wilson student, Alexa) took a stand against her to protect himself- something that Wilson failed to do. He gave her a small taste of the suffering, humiliation, trauma she cause him through the years by pouring his lunch on her.
Wilson's job is to protect its students from perpetrators like Alexa and they refused to do that. The constant dismissal from admin. and the aggression from Alexa pushed Carson to take matters into his own hands, and he is now suspended for several days with ISS tacked on. Our school promised to be a safe space for learning and discovering yourself and they lied. They took a bigoted bully's side over the victim. Maybe because Wilson administration is not as LGBTQ+ friendly as they claim to be or maybe because the saying "Bulldogs don't Bully" is just that: a saying, not meant to be taken seriously. Whatever the reason, by signing this petition you take a stand against LGBTQ+ bullying and begin to make a change in not only the school but the world.

Carson, only defending himself, should not be the one punished and we, as a school, can help him finally win against bullying. #Freecarson2017
