This petition is demanding the United States to stop using so much foreign oil. At the moment, 60% of our oil is foreign. By increasing American energy production, it will lower gasoline prices. Even the smallest increase in gasoline prices has a significanceon our economy. The best way to prevent rising energy costs is by actively producing our own American energy resources. By doing this, it will save U.S. money because it is cheaper and we won't have to pay tariffs. This will also create jobs and allow our economy to be more stable.
