As a former BA ambassador, I know how hard Maria works for ALL Pepperdine students she meets. Her hard and not exactly fun work of figuring out logistics for travel, meals, etc, facilitates what is for many (myself included) THE BEST year of my time at Pepperdine and even my life! It is simply immoral and unchristian to deny Joaquin tuition benefits while other Pepperdine staff receive it. I am ashamed that this is even a question at what purports to be a Christian university.

It's important our school abides by its word
"Freely you give, freely you receive". Maria and her son have given more than enough without expecting anything from Pepperdine. Now they are asking that he can attend and even though it's within the boundaries of Pepperdine's PROMISE, they are having troubles. If we are who we say we are we need to stand together!
