Anthony Chavez deserves a second chance, I know what he did was wrong. We are all humans and sometimes we can find ourselves in situations where we end up making a wrong decision that changes our lives for good, for bad. Anthony is a good person, he is responsible, amazing. I can say that he chose to turn his life a different direction after his sad doing. He decide to do things to better himself as a person, he did not choose to stay bitter or angry like some people would do and keep making wrong decisions. He turned the negative and turned it into a positive. So I ask you to please give him a second chance. Just like God gives second chances every day and he forgives all our wrong doings. There is no denying the crime that was committed by Anthony Chavez, but I Melinda Vega sign this freedom petition only because I strongly believe Anthony Chavez truly deserves a second opportunity. Anthony and I have been childhood friends since seventh grade and I have always known him to be a loving and caring person. A person that has always been so positive and full of life. A person loved and respected by many because he always treated everyone with respect. I ask the board to please take into consideration who Anthony Chavez truly is as a person and grant him some kind of forgiveness.

We are all human and we all commit mistakes, everyone deserves a second chance and forgiveness. Anthony knows what he did was wrong. And will live with that remorse for the rest of his life. He has demonstrated that he is kind and willing to work hard for his goals in life, to make a difference in his daughter's life and be the role model he always has been. Give him a chance!

Please free my brother Anthony Chavez. He is a great person and a family man. One incident he had while drinking should not keep him locked up for that long. He was always one of the nicest, honest, hard working individuals I've met. He deserves another chance at life. He deserves to be with his family. We all make mistakes. Tony deserves another chance. He is a great man.

Why? Why does Anthony Chavez deserve to be free? He doesn't know it yet but he has changed the lives of our entire family. He is a martyr locked away in a cage. Far from his loved ones. Has this changed him? No! He is not a criminal and does not deserve to be locked up for another 10 years. He is still soft spoken, he is still a pillar of the community, he is still responsible, he is still caring, he is still loved, he is still active, he is still a citizen, he is still a father, a brother, a Son, a cousin, a friend and most of all he is still a role model for us all. I am sure Anthony knows and understands that what he did was wrong. But what he did for his family will never be forgotten. Anthony has not let what happened to him change who he is. Far lesser men would have adapted to prison by becoming a number, but Anthony persevered through everything and continues to be Anthony Chavez a beloved and essential member of our community. This is why he should be free and home with us by the end of the year. FREE TONY!! Let him come home so he can see how he has changed his family for the better.

Anthony has always been someone that myself and my friends (his brother, cousins) always looked up to. He was a great example for us, he was a hard working member of society and he was always there when we needed a hand. He truly has a big heart and his daughter deserves to have her daddy back.
