Communist parties in China have banned the use of social networks such as twitter, Facebook, snapchat, New York times etc.. Article 19 from the UN human rights declaration states that "everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression" and yet China does not uphold within this article. Up to the advent of the internet, the Chinese government had been able to successfully curtail this freedom in nearly all its physical manifestations. China has a tightly controlled traditional media and forces all published information to be from official sources and to be vetted through the state. By signing this petition, we can help change this crushing reality, we can help free the words in China. With the hope of protesting against the censorship that has ruled and covered up China, take a minute or so to simply fill out the form and help in creating a better reality for China together.
