Dear Honorable decision making members of HM Revenue and Customs and/or Border Force: Don Mei provides a wonderful selection of teas and teaware, personally sourced, and loved by fans and consumers across the globe, whilst supporting and entertaining his local community in London. It should be apparent by his admission on most of the paperwork what was contained in the shipment and simply a "clerical error" overlooked in preparation. As a customer and fan I would beseech thee, honorable decision making members of HM Revenue and Customs and/or Border Force, to please take into consideration Don Mei's contribution to society both locally and globally before denying and destroying the teaware, tea and the lovely artwork made by Don's lovely wife, Celine. Please. Thank you for your hard work and dedication and especially for your consideration in this matter. With great and honest sincerity, Jennifer Wolke, Danbury, CT USA

Bureaucracy is absurd. I doubt this will do anything, but I sign in hopes that someone at customs can screw his head on right.

I don't understand why the penalty ( destruction of the tea) is so draconian and disproportionate. Let it go please!

I am a concerned customer of Mei Leaf Teahouse. As the issue has been presented to me, tea has been seized due to a clerical error, tea that has been declared on accompanying paperwork and appropriate taxation paid. If this is indeed the case I feel it is unfair to levee a penalty as severe as destruction of the product. I hate to think of the financial impact this would have on a merchant. I hope that a mutually beneficial resolution to this issue can be reached. Please release this shipment.

How brutish, would it not be to destroy something as innocent and beautiful as this, because of something as trivial as three missing letters on a piece of paper?
