There is no reason to destroy a high quality food item because of a clerical error. This is clearly not an attempt at smuggling. Wouldn't it be more fair to have a resolution process and instead a small possible fine/fee for the company that made the mistake?

I really understand that all documents must be in order, and there is good control over them. That why there is a UK Border Force. But if only one small mistake has been made, by a supplier, who must be familliar, by the UK Border Force, who before this little issue, always did everything right, can not you once be flexible and let this shipment go through? It would be a shame that, due some little simple clerical error, perfectly good food will be wasted. Not to mention all the hard labor that went into making this tea.
