Mei Leaf Teas is a serious business, and Don Mei constantly sources high-quality teas, especially from China (just take a look at his store). I absolutely do not think there was any malcontent, just a clerical/bureaucratic error. It would be an absolute shame to have the tea destroyed, especially considering all the hard work and long time that went in to it. Holding this tea does not help anybody.

This is an appalling case British tyranny. I urge Meileaf and all like-minded individuals to rise up and overthrow the tyrant Elizabeth II just as our American compatriots did over two centuries prior.

Dear UK Border Force, please please please do reconsider your decision of holding this precious tea on hostage.
Mei Leaf is definitely the best tea shop and tea house in all London and UK and Don Mei and his staff are well known for their honesty in trading. Mei Leaf excellent reputation is well known in Italy too: they are very very honest tea traders. Therefore, dear UK Border Force, use heart and mind and free this tea. It is simply the right thing to do. Do not apply law blindly.

I regularly purchase tea like this tea cake from Mei leaf tea house.
I have visited the London Mei leaf tea cafe and associated skin care product premises and can confirm it is legitimate. Be sensible, look at the facts, do the research, look at the significant online presence. Please do not destroy this high quality tea. You will be depriving all of Mei leafs customers one of life’s little pleasures and no doubt cause an increase in the price of future Mei leaf products. The tea is expensive enough already, thank you.

I have been a customer of Mei Leaf Teas for over 6 years now and I have purchased a number of teas along with tea wares from them and have been extremely pleased. I have also exported orchids to England and to Ireland with all the required agricultural paperwork that is required by the US and by England just to have the orchids hybrids seized for absolutely no reason. After writing Prince Charles, the orchids were released and delivered as they should have been originally. Your seizing of tea from the Mei Leaf shipment is bureaucratic nonsense - all over a slight mistake on the BOL. Release the tea please so customers can purchase it and help England's economy.
