Please do not let an obvious paperwork error become an international incident. Issue a stern warning to the party that made an error on one (and only one) of a number of shipping documents related to this shipment. Don't destroy culturally significant artisanal agricultural products because a box on a form was not filled in correctly.

Dear UK Custom, I can see that you are not happy with the one errored document, but this happens a lot in businesses involve different culturerror does not justify the destruction of all the teas which worth thousands of dollars and involve the hard work of many people. It will dishearten all the tea handlers around the world because it seems the bureaucracy around the world is purposefully setting up hurdles for them (why else should any one face such a destruction for a minor error, worst come to the worst, the tea is not allowed in the UK and returned) . Destruction of all the teas are not harming the hardworking people involved, it is also in no way benefiting the environment, why should a practice harming the environment be so easily decided and carried out? Why aren’t people seeing the difficulties of starting and doing a business, the tears and sweat shed in order to make a business work, why the bureaucracy of a country is not protective and supportive of people who are not simply living off the governmental benefits but working their ass off to contribute to the economy of the country. Please release the tea.

Bureaucracy and correct paperwork is impotant especially to prevent smuggling and other crimes, but it is absolutely ridicculous, to waste and destroy a totally fine product and months if not years of work of many people due to a slight error in the paperwork which can easily be sorted out by talking to the importing or exporting party. There has to be some margin for errors, because they occur whenever people are involved and this has to be able to be sorted out, even if that means an additional customs fee or something like that, but destroying a whole load of a product due to such a minor error is outrageous especially when nowadays we have to watch our resources and have to behave as sustainable as we can

Although the labeling may have been wrong (I understand law must be adheared to), couldn't the product at least be sent back to the producer rather than destroyed? It's just tea, after all, and worth a look at of domestic profit for a UK business, not to mention enjoyment to a lot of people. The government is good, and I have faith it will make a decision that works for everyone.
