The verdict against the Maruti Suzuki workers is a travesty of justice, and is motivated purely by the desire of the auto corporations and their political front-men to suppress the struggles of autoworkers against sweatshop exploitation.
This is an attack on the rights of the working class all over the world, and is a warning of what the auto companies and the state, including in America, are planning.
Free the Maruti Suzuki workers! Mobilize the working class internationally in their defense!

I demand the immediate acquittal of the 31 Maruti-Suzuki workers and all criminal convictions against these workers be dropped. I demand that the 148 workers be fully compensated for deprivation of liberty and for the brutal and inhumane mistreatment they suffered while imprisoned. This travesty of justice by the Gurgaon sessions court cannot be permitted to prevail. The international working class must take a stand against this state frame-up and every other atrocity it's brothers and sisters are suffering!

working class will have to unite to fight the corporate coils strangulating them and the sentencing of Maruti workers is one more attempt to fear among workers in the Indian sub-continent.

I am an unemployed worker from Melbourne Australia. This criminal frame-up and barbaric sentencing against the Maruti Suzuki workers must be opposed by all workers around the world. This is the type of treatment which all Government's and Transnational companies will be inflicting on all workers who oppose speed up and sweatshop conditions. They are pitting workers against workers in every country to extract more profit against their rival companies. These workers must be immediately released and all fraudulent charges dropped. Workers everywhere should mobilise independently of their official stooge Unions and prepare for a showdown with the entire Capitalist system. WE demand all sacked workers be reinstated. Workers of the world are watching through the SEP's and wsws.org 's coverage of all major struggles of the working class around the world.. Fraternally Steve - Australia.
