This is not just a local, or even a national issue. The root cause of the attacks of these attacks are to be found in the international contradictions of capitalism. Just as an attack on these Indian autoworkers is an attack of the working class as a whole, a defense of these workers of these is a defense of the international working class.

I demand immediate release of the 31 workers and compensation for their illegitimate detention. Thanks for the ICFI to initiate this International offensive against transnational corporations and Indian political establishment.

An injury to one is an injury to all. We stand with our class brothers and sisters at the Maruti Suzuki plant in India against the class injustice handed out by the courts who are in the pockets of the corporations. Their only crime was to stand up for their rights. We demand their immediate release and compensation for their illegitimate detention.

I denounce this travesty. The history of the frame up of Maruti-Suzuki workers is a warning against any illusion that one may still have on the official trade unions and parties of the establishment and the institutions of the state, for somehow coming to the defense of the victimized workers. Workers all over the world should join their class brothers and sisters in India to mount the broadest possible struggle to ensure the release of the 13 workers. Free the workers! Expose the criminal conspiracy against the Maruti Suzuki workers!

There is no way to stop this repression (and attempted execution) of workers' leaders in India except through a mobilisation of the international working class. And there is no more powerful force to call upon. With all comradely support from Britain and with the hope that this struggle becomes an inspiration for the battles ahead.

International capital has united with their Indian counterparts to brutally subjugate the Maruti Suzuki workers. This criminal conspiracy must be defeated by the united struggle of the international working class.
