Never again will we buy from backcountry-dot-com, not from its associated entities (steep and cheep, etc)

This entity is obviously not responsible enough to be the caretaker of any word. They abused tradmark law and therefore should forefit all rights to any branding besides "backcountry.com"

I have always been aware of backcountry.com & have always avoided them when purchasing gear. I always try to go to the “source” to purchase. I do not shop at Amazon either. End of story. They are bullies in the industry

What you did (and are still doing with the trademark filings) was and is greedy, irresponsible, and destructive to small businesses trying to make a living. I have lost all respect for Backcountry dot com. You do NOT own the backcountry nor that term.

This used to be my favorite outdoor retailer, but I will never buy another item from them unless the suits are not only suspended but actually DROPPED and the costs suffered by these many victims of the Backcountry.com flurry of suits are REIMBURSED.

trademarking the key word for an entire culture? so lame!

backcountry.com already has screwed over some much of the specialty shop market. This is just another reason to boycott them.

I vow never to buy for backcountry.com again if this trademark approach is pursued. You use of backcountry came decades after we had been using the word backcountry in daily conversation.

Please withdrawal the standing petitions at the US Patent and Trademark office concerning the term BACKCOUNTRY. Only then will you regain my business.

Corporate greed got the company in this position. Your lame apologies are meaningless to the companies you've already attacked and the customers that did not realize what you were doing. Please listen and make real changes. Would be willing to return as a customer if you did. Otherwise, no deal.

You will NEVER own the backcountry Nielsen - you are not even part of that community - give up the trademark.

Any company that would take these litigious actions over the use of the word "Backcountry" does not have a place in the backcountry community.

Backcountrydotcom use to be my go to for gear, but not anymore. Going after small business just to make yourself feel important is wrong.. you do not own backcoutry.. we all do.. get off your high horses and make this right

Your turn to do something to prop up and being together the backcountry industry. It’s not your word. Do the right thing and folks will come back. Don’t say, do.

By legalistically assaulting businesses supporting backcountry lifestyle, recreation, and safety, I think BCDC assaulted our basic right to pursue life, liberty, and happiness in the "backcountry" where we are most likely find it. They are making it harder, not easier, to find the support, nourishment, and gear we need to best enjoy our "backcountry"--not theirs!
