An innocent player of the MMOG RuneScape has found their account to be permanently banned for a crime they did not commit.

The owners of RuneScape, a company called Jagex, use an automated system to - ironically - weed out people who use automated software ("bots") to play the game for them.

The player's in-game name is "Teknolla G" and he was banned for playing the game from his work's VPN, using Microsoft Surface to tap (not click via a mouse). He was banned by the automated bot detection system without human intervention.

This petition is to have this person's account manually reviewed by Jagex and have the ban quashed.
