yeah freedom of speech is good but rascism and sexism is bad so its a fine line freedom of speech is but i think there is no goldilocks zone with freedom of speech but i am all for freedom of any kind so that is why i vote this petition

I have just learnt about Nicola Ramsey of Edinburgh University Press (EUP). Her decision to enforce capitalisation of 'black' and not 'white' is truly despicable racism. I was utterly gobsmacked when I read about this and nearly choked on my bangers and mash. If EUP have even an ounce of class, Ms Ramsey MUST be sacked forthwith. This whole saga is, in my opinion, bringing the entirety of University of Edinburgh into disrepute. I may be English, and a long term enemy of the fine people of Scotland, but on this matter we can all surely agree. The University of Edinburgh must reinstate free speech immediately. It is reminiscent of Soviet Russia - if not worse. Had Charles Darwin attended your hallowed institution in modern times, I have no doubt any talk of evolution would have been shut down. Would he have been expelled? If I could go back in time and live during the ages of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce, I would simply inform them that they had been 'no platformed' as I, an Englishman, required a 'safe space' immediately! I'm sure that would have done the trick.......?
