The Iranian secret service kidnapped our Mandaean priest ( Mr Faiz Shafeek Rahma Al Zuhiary ) from his workplace in Ahwaz last week and we don't know what happened to him.
Mandaeans are very peaceful law abiding citizens in Iran,
Mandaean religion is none missionary, therefore we don't preach to others or accept converts.
We hold the Iranian government responsible for the safety and well being of our priest and demand his release immediately.

An innocent priest that trying to make the best for his people and keep them safe got kidnaped, he got family which are now dying to find him and people that love him, where ever we go we not safe
This one of our priest who is help others and been always good we dont even know why they put him in jail without any reasons ? its only because he was a mandaeans priest
Everyone has the right to respect , freedom and integrity no matter religion they practise , this is a true test for the iranian athority and our iranian brothers and sisters who has trust in law and order .

In order to arrest someone, the police only need to have probable cause. Our community worldwide need to know the real cause regardless of if the arrest is done with a warrant (by writing out an affidavit to a neutral and detached magistrate, who will decide if probable cause does indeed exist) or without (under exigent circumstances, police can arrest without a warrant and if they believed they have probable cause, they must present Mr Faiz Shafeek to a magistrate within 48 hours to explain the arrest and the probable cause used for it, at which point the magistrate will essentially approve or disapprove the arrest). This is just so sad. He is a good man and a holy person who helped so many people in the community. Iran needs to show mercy and let him go home to his family right now.
