We live and we learn. We fall, and we make mistakes. We hurt family, friends, and others who become victims of our bad decisions. We all have a choice but we don't always make the right ones. We grow older, wiser, and we learn from our mistakes. We are incarcerated to serve time for our actions and to be rehabilitated to be a productive member of society. But if we are never given that second chance at life how will you ever know. I'm not signing this petition because I know the case or because I know the man that Lourele is today. I'm signing it because I was given a second chance at life and I know people can change (I did) I'm a living witness. Lourele and I played in the neighbor as children marching up and down the street singing "We are the world we are the children, we are the ones to make a brighter day so let's start giving." When we serve time our parents, siblings, children and friends are all sentenced just in different ways. I support this petition for Lourele, give him a second chance, to be a better son, brother, father, and friend.

There are more people doing a lot worse things than he has and they're being set free. A rapist was release to rape and kill. Enough is enough

I have known Lourele since we were kids. The choices he has made in life may not have been the best choices, but I truly and deeply feel that he has served his time and has changed. The Lourele you see now is a man that has mature, recognized his mistakes and sincerely remorsed for the pain he has caused during the time of his mishaps. I also know that Louisiana State laws are basis when it comes between races. Lourele's incarceration has been completed and should be judged based on the condition and mannerism of the man he is now. I have no doubt that if the state attorney see the man that he is now vs the teenager he was then, they will understand and see that this additional sentence is overkill and give Lourele as a man, a second chance in life.

My mom's last wish and spoken words were, "God free my baby boy May 2016." Praying everyday for my brother to be free.

People grow and learn from their mistakes. Individuals of today have raped molested and killed individuals and has severed lesser time. Sad to say but justice is not blind to the black. Free Lourele Roberts. Time has been served
