Perhaps it's time to let him see the nature again, to let him walk on the grass, look at the sky freely and to listen to the river, to the silence of the nature, the Wind in the leaves of the tree, to listen to a different music. It's free to offer him this... that will cost certainly cheaper than to keep him in prison. A good opportunity to proove that the human can respect others human Sincerely Frank from France

Please let Leonard live his last years in freedom with his loved ones. This is a tragic misjustice as he was never even proven guilty- this should never happen in a free, civilized society.

To make a deeply important and moving demonstration of humanely aware leadership, I believe you would contribute to the consciousness of the USA if you would give clemency to Leonard Peltier before leaving your office as president of the United States in the next election. Such a life-affirming action would give the Native American nations the message that they actually do matter in ways that they should have mattered when the first white person set foot on the continent. It is a healing way and would add self-esteem to many in the Native communities - to have Leonard Peltier freed at last. There is much evidence that he was prosecuted in the first place because at the time the marshalls were killed but there was no real evidence that it was him - but someone had to take the rap. The first jury that tried him found him not-guilty. President Obama, I ask you to consider this man's ill health, age, and exemplary behavior while in prison, as well as what he stands for. He has not long to live and has served decades already. Has he not learned some lessons? Can you, President Obama, help us all to learn some lessons here, too? Thank you. Anne Nwokoye

Leonard Peltier should have been Pardoned by President Bill Clinton before he left office 1.2001. i don't know why that didn't happen. nearly 15 years later, Leonard's diabetes is at dangerous stages because of an inhumane and unhealthy maximum security environment. remember: Leonard's red truck never matched the description of the plaintiff's red truck. Free Leonard Peltier! thank you.
