fifteen years for non violent crimes is ridiculous. release him and fill that void with someone more deserving of such a sentence

Dennis Alexio was my idol growing up.
He inspired me to leave the streets as a trouble making teen and study the Martial Art of Tang Soo Do.
I received my 1st black at 20.
Before my 21st birthday I sent Dennis a fan letter asking him for an autograph picture.
Not only did I get the picture, I received a call on my 21st birthday from Dennis to wish me a happy birthday.
What does that tell you about the man?

I went to one of Dennis Alexio's fights in NY with my friend Sensei Joe many, many years ago.
After the event, we ran into Dennis and boxing trainer Victor Valle(Gerry Cooney)outside the garden.
Dennis could not have been more of a gentleman.
In conversation I told Dennis I was a Vietnam veteran and he wound up inviting me and Joe to dinner on him.
I didn't know too much about kickboxing but enjoyed watching Dennis fighting.
Joe and Dennis talked about the sport, training, and Dennis Alexio the undisputed kickboxing champion said he was going to add some of Joe's drills into his workout.
That also impressed me.
A legend and champion was taking advice from my friend.
I'm adding my name to this petition because Dennis Alexio deserves a chance.
He is not a danger to the community in fact he could be a protector to his community.
He has already spent enough time in jail and the sentence given is really long for the type of crime committed.
He is a good man who made a mistake.

I believe in rehabilitation as well as some form of incarceration to deter the breaking of the law in the future.
However, I am in agreement with many that Mr. Alexio's sentence is extreme considering that his offense was a white collar crime.
It would seem that Mr. Alexio has served sufficient incarceration and that release under "house arrest" with strict rules would be a very good option at this time.
Inclusive of the house arrest could be community service where Mr. Alexio instructs seniors in self defense or supervises training for some youth program.
Maybe a public service commercial addressing his crime.
There are numerous options available that could work for all concerned if the courts would be willing and able to grant Mr. Alexio some form of leniency.
Of course, Mr. Alexio must address the courts, display sincere remorse for his actions, and adhere to a repayment plan.
Having Dennis Alexio serve another six or seven years serves no purpose.
And it could actually be detrimental in his ability to pay his debt to the courts and society to do his advancing age if he serves the rest of his sentence.
I truly believe Mr. Alexio has learned his lesson and with an early release would be a positive and productive member of his community.

Dennis should be released he was not dangerous I really think that he had a lot of head trauma through his career I've known him since I was a young man trained with him everyday and I saw the changes in him which is definitely head trauma and my computer honey please release date he's not a danger to anyone I have a beautiful family I'm pretty sure the government Froze all his accounts and got the money back thank you for your consideration

Dennis's self defense class that he held many years ago in our local community of Vacaville saved my daughter and my life many years later. I will forever be grateful for the skills and knowledge he taught me. I don't know the details of his case but I know the IRS is not for we the people, the DOJ is corrupt, & our prisons are a business. Praying our POTUS is watching this case.
