I feel that we as American people, we should be able to embrace our heritage. Showing pride in our Rebel flag is in NO WAY a show of racism and just because ONE IGNORANT, misguided individual chooses to be a racist, to harm innocent people that did not deserve to be harmed/killed, the entire nation should not have to lose a very important part of their history. The flag, however important to history, is just cloth, it has no feeling, no inclination to choose who to be nice to, no way to see color, so why punish it? Why punish the masses when it is just one person who was ignorant?

If we have to take the flag down then they need to take all Martin Luther King Jr. Signs down to all over the Good Old USA take the sign down now that's how I feel!!!!!!!

This confederate flag has nothing to do with hate, but what we southerners love, " the south". I have many relatives who served or were killed in the stupid ( in my opinion all wars are stupid) war. But the south is no different than the North and need to remember war is war! Lay it down, we have more important things to deal with now.
