In May 1999, Jameel Freeman made a blunder that would impact his whole entire life. A blunder thatalmost broke him,he left behind two beautiful daughters and a virtuous, faithful mother. He received a sentence of forty years, set up to pay a lifetime for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He set out to help a friend that night of his baby mother’s senior prom, but he didn’t make it. That night he got locked up leaving two babies still in the womb. He kept his virtue and strength, even though the world looked weary. No matter how weary the world, got he grew as man. Behind those walls he found God, joined classes to better himself including: skills building, family violence, adult basic education, GED preparation, GED testing. He succeeded and got his GED, among other things, but through anything he was determined not to become a dead beat dad. He was there for his daughters, through visits and phone calls he was there coaching them through their lives. His love for his family never dwindled; he participated in every part of their lives.
