It’s clear that justice didn’t serve as it was suppose too. This young mans life was taken from him. They should reopen case and when they find him innocent they should free him,pay him for his pain and suffering. In addition serve justice by holding that detective responsible by sentencing him the years Evarsito Salas wrongfully served. Lastly placing in general population!

Give him a new trial. It’s sad when poor minorities are railroaded the way he was. As a criminal justice student and can clearly see the injustice!

It would appear that Detective Rivard conspired to have Salas charged and convicted to further his career. It was his first homicide case and he sought to be a “local hero” by having an informant blatantly lie and provide a false statement which he has since recanted. Rivard should be in prison alongside the deceitful wife of the victim in this case.

I believe this young man to be completely innocent of the crime here is currently serving time in prison for. A new case should be opened for a retrial and he be found innocent and released immediately. There should also a new investigation into locating the true murderer as he has been able to walk free all these years. The system needs checks and balances to keep the innocent free and punish the guilty!
