After watching Wrong Man I became convinced that he’s innocent and was set up by former Detective Levard to take the fall for a murder he did not commit.
The main witness lied and knows the identity of the real murderer “Ricardo” and should be convicted herself along with the detective on this case.
My heart goes out to Salas Jr and his family as well as the man who was murdered and his family. They were all denied justice by detective who clearly belongs behind bars himself.

I just watched, Wrong Man on Starz. I truly believe this man is innocent & should be given a new trial or released immediately. He has lost so many yrs for something he didn't do. My heart goes out to him & his parents, but also, the families of the victim. They've all been done a great injustice.

The documentary speaks for itself. It is proven that any conviction based on witness testimony alone cannot be held up. This case is an exact example of that. Witness only convictions are based on trusting that everyone is honest and truthful about everything. No one is ever coerced or lies. We are one of the only countries in the world that a prosecuter would take any case to trial with this alone. The rest of the world has figured out the problems with this, why not us. This system in America is broken. It holds dirty cops and prosecuters up as heroes and sends innocent men and women to jail. In law school you are taught to withdraw from the human aspect of it. Once in practice, you learn from experience that all that matters is wins or loses. Not right or wrong. Never go to bed with a heavy heart that you put an innocent person in prison. Just revel in the fact you added another win. In this alone our system is broken. I am not sure how many times or the percentage of wrongful convictions people have to hear to demand a change. DNA alone has freed a huge percentage of people from prisons. Then their cases are reviewed and questioned how they were ever convicted in the first place. All of these possible contributes to society are taken from us. I just hang my head in shame when I hear of such things. Please free this innocent man. How much more needs to be heard to allow him to spend even another hour in jail. Those that have the power to do so, please become a hero to the world. Being brave amongst certain redacule can make you a hero. Do the right thing. Thank you to everyone that made this possible. And I apologise to Mr. Salas for what society has done to you. You are in my prayers.

We just watched the Wrong Man episodes here in Norway and couldn’t wait to see the moment Evaristo was released. We were shocked to learn that Evaristo is still in jail! How is it possible that corrupt law enforcement officers are being protected after stealing a child’s life??? Is this American democracy?! Shame on them! Release Evaristo ASAP!!!

The police detective needs to be sentence to the time this young man received .
