With the additional evidence that has been uncovered, Evaristo Salas should be granted a new trial and released from prison pending that trial date. That’s the only fair and justice solution for this case.

Injustice not only happens on the streets, it happens in courtrooms. Two years to grant t a new trial is injustice in itself. The system should work better than that. Over half of this mans life has been taken from him, time that can never be given back, to be on this earth and live in a box for not committing a crime that warrants such imprisonment. It's time to stop your clocks in the courts and grant the trial giving Salas a chance to prove his innocence, unlike when he was 15.

Detective Rivard should spend the remaining years of his life behind bars, regardless of who actually killed Jose (it's obvious to anyone who's followed this case that a man named Ricardo is responsible, while Ofelia is also culpable for Jose's death) - Rivard has stained the integrity of the Sunnyside PD & he should rot in a cell for his role in covering up the actual facts in this case.

If I were a juror in this case, I would think that the detectives, the prosecution and just about everybody else involved in the unlawful imprisonment of this poor young man are either racially profiling him &/or are just too lazy & corrupt to do their job properly & with respect to their responsibility. It deeply saddens me that he lost so many years of his life because of that ignorance not to mention the injustice! I beg of you to right this wrong, not just for Salas but also for the integrity of the American justice system & Please FREE EVARISTO "JUNIOR" SALAS!!!

I watched “Wrong Man” which covered your case. I viewed this with my girlfriend this morning and find it very appalling that you are still incarcerated two years+ after discovering your innocence. I personally feel you should have been released within weeks, months at most, after the new investigation showed you are innocent of the charge(s) your convicted for. My girlfriend and I stand by you 100% and are here for you. My boyfriend and I watched your show and it broke my heart personally that you and your family I’ve had to go to this awful experience and still after light has been made of your innocence you still remain in prison and that baffles my mind. They have evidence proving your innocence yet again they are making themselves look bad by not releasing your freedom.
