This is such a sad case, and unfortunately there are so many more like it. Our minority men are so poorly represented and unfairly treated.

It seems very possible that closing this case was more important to certain law enforcement personal than the life of a young latino man. There is more than enough doubt regarding the witnesses and manner in which Jr. found himself facing murder charges while he was still a mere cild. I fear he was assumed guilty before he was even tried due to his past mistakes and and the color of his skin. A new trial is the least our society could do to make sure one of our fellow humans is not suffering every day because priveledged people and institutions refuse to face a look at faults far worse than Everisto. I'm praying for you!

I cried when I watched this documentary of how this young man was falsely convicted. To hear how he has been through so much, mentally, he was just a baby when this happened. His drawings, they truly touch my soul. I pray they get him a new court hearing and get him out of there!
