Derek Chauvin should be released from prison and have his record expunged, police officers who are under tremendous stress sometimes use excessive force and I feel that happened to Derek Chauvin, he shouldn't be in prison, it is going to affect his health, family, losing his job, and even his military pay from the Army, I was shocked to hear about the stabbing last Friday and I pray that he gets well also I am concerned that as he gets older, what about his health? Derek Chauvin needs all the support that he can get.

This is an unbearable injustice. To think the family got millions of dollars for this thug. George Floyd was a thug. These police officers involved should all get millions of dollars also. It was all about politics.

The government and media used Derek Chauvin as a scapegoat and the result has not stopped rioting, mob thefts, racism, larceny, black on black crimes. It has sent a message to blacks that they can do pretty much whatever they want illegally and get away with it or get a slap on the wrist. It has sent them a message that they don't have to be accountable for their behaviors or answer to anyone. It has made good men and women no longer want to be a law enforcement officer in fear of not being able to do their jobs without being accused as the bad one if the suspect is not white. Certain videos were not allowed to be played and evidence that showed George Floyd was NOT asphyxiated were not allowed in court. His knee was on the top and back of the shoulder...not his neck. George Floyd complained of breathing issues when he was placed in the patrol car before ending up facedown. He told the officers he had COVID and the officers were also trying to protect themselves and those standing around from it. This was a multifaceted situation where officers had to make decisions the best they could based on training as well as other circumstances. Many people getting arrested claim the can's breathe when it is not true, so officers have no way of knowing if the claim is true or a tactic to be able to escape. Floyd was a large, strong man who was under the influence of drugs, as well as having several chronic medical issues that contributed to his death. There are so many things wrong with his conviction and JUSTICE FOR DEREK CHAUVIN perhaps deserves a march across this country, to Washington, DC and around the world if TRUE JUSTICE is still a thing. If we all recall, COVID was running rampant and people were already living in fear & high alert of the virus and taking certain precautions to not be exposed. Plus, there is much more to the story that time does not allow here in this forum if people would open their minds and research, read, discuss, and acknowledge Derek Chauvin d

21 year sentence and George Floyd didn’t die from Derek. George died of a drug overdose. Reduce his sentence at least.

I don't believe officer Derek Chauvin deliberately killed George Floyd, as he was irratic when being detained and arrested!! Officer Chauvin was only doing his job! And with Mr Floyd saying he can't breathe, is rediculous as he was able to speak. Mr Chauvin deserves a new trial

Lack of evidence proving murder. Lots of evidence proving overdose.

He didn't kill George Floyd. He was simply doing his job preventing Floyd's escape from arrest. Floyd was a Goliath in size and was also on drugs. Chauvin couldn't relax his grip for a second as he dealt with Floyd's drug-enhanced strength. Floyd was supposedly "starting a new life" after release from prison for holding a gun to the belly of a 9-month pregnant woman while his buddies ransacked her home. Is this how you start a new life? -- by ripping off small business owners with counterfeit cash and laughing about it?
